As you take the time to choose your digital collaboration tool to try, think about the following things:
What type of media do you want to work with
Visual images
Sound
Audio narration
Presentation narrative
Consider where your source of content will be coming from
Do you own the images?
Will there be a necessary attribution needed on the images?
How will your audience be viewing your content?
This can determine your final product
Also can affect your final image and audio export format
Now we will take time to demonstrate digital audio and video tools
Great video on digital collaboration within a school district.
Next you can see the video on Digital Storytelling shown in the presentation also....
Here is a sample Microsoft PhotoStory slideshow, which conveniently adds a player with the slideshow for viewing by all systems. Low resolution cell phone photos used in most of this slideshow...sorry!
Here is a sample of a Slideshare introduction I made for a course I was teaching a few years ago. From it you can see how Slideshare with it's online format is more suitable for embedding for multiple platform access. For some reason the sound capabilities of this Slideshare did not come forward with the presentation.
My own promotional video created to give patrons a tour of our media center. This video was created with Audacity for audio recording, ProShow Gold for slideshow creation and syncing narration, and then uploaded to my personal YouTube account to embed in multiple locations.
Here is the same video embedded at TeacherTube, for those educators where YouTube access is blocked at their institution.
THIS IS MY NEW WIKI
